The best part about the Lutron Aurora is that your guests will no longer be flipping the manual light switch, rendering your Philips Hue lights useless. The second best part is how easy it is to install. All you need is a small screwdriver, and after that, it’s literally a snap. Very easy to connect to your system with the Hue app. Total setup took 2 minutes from unboxing to having both the hardware and software setup. Sleek look won’t deter from your aesthetics because you can keep whatever backplate you have. Note it does not work with paddle switches (the flat rectangular ones modern houses have), only toggle switches. The only downside is the price.

We did a complete remodel of our master bathroom top to bottom including new light fixtures. Also put in a new freestanding soaker tub so wanted to be able to dim the lights for a relaxing bath. This dimmer switch works great. I put in Edison style LED bulbs and this dimmer takes them from full brightness to complete darkness, and every shade in between. I saved a few bucks by buying open box but even new at full price it would be worth it.If you’re in need of a dimmer switch look no further. This one’s a keeper. We know Lutron makes good switches, so thought of trying it out. And we are glad we went with this one.It’s very easy to install, and the quality is better than many other dimmer switches out there. The light dimming transition is very smooth.And the best part is, it comes with the base plate, which not a lot of brands do; even some of the Lutron ones don’t come with one.Pro tip:Ensure that your light is compatible with these switches before you buy it.We plan to replace all other dimmable switches around the house with this one.We really like this switch, you’ll love it too. Go for it!

Works great! Bought two of them and they both work perfect.

Ugh, read a review that said I needed the neutral wire but I only had a hot and a red wire. So went to HD and bought extra 14-2 and a bigger box just to add neutral. I go and read the bloody instructions and right there it said for 1 location to cover red/white… Moral of the story, read the blasted instructions before you start. Other than that install should had take no more than 15 minutes. Works like a charm for our living room. Now we can dim our light when we want to watch things on the projector. Oh, this one had no adjuster on the side. When slider is all the way down the light turn off. The slider was a quarter of the way on the dimmed picture which matched the dining room light. And i use dimmable LED bright white light bough from amazon (Eagle).

I purchased this dimmer to dim LED track lighting. It works, no flickering, etc. BUT, it has a toggle switch to set the dimming range that is located behind the wall cover plate. Then, you can adjust the dimming by using the vertical slide along the switch exterior. This is very limited dimming, and also only within the range set by the concealed toggle switch. For example, if you set the concealed switch to the brightest setting, I would estimate the dimming range is adjustable from about 70% to 90% of the brightness range of the light bulbs. If you want to set the light level lower, you would need to remove the wall cover plate, adjust the range downward, and replace the cover plate. Repeat again for higher dimming – pretty ridiculous. I searched for “full range dimmers” and found another product on Amazon, cost a couple dollars less, and works much better. The instructions indicate the dimming range to be 10% to 100%, which appears to be accurate – and with no internal dimming toggle. I bought two of these dimmers. One is used in a single pole (one fixture – one switch that controls it) situation – the other one is used in a 3 pole situation ( one light fixture that is controlled by two different switches). One reviewer said that you need a neutral wire for this dimmer – I almost didn’t buy it because of that review. You do NOT need or use neutral wires for this dimmer – although with some other Lutron dimmers you do. Two black wires and a ground wire for the single pole – Two black wires, one red wire, one ground wire for the three pole. For the three pole situation only: Make sure that you mark with tape the HOT black wire before you disconnect it form your old switch (the HOT black wire is the black wire that is connected to a colored screw ( meaning it is a different color from the other remaining screws being used). The instructions included were very clear and easy to follow. I am using Luxon Edison LED DIMMABLE 2700K light bulbs in both situations. One fixture is using 8 of those bulbs – the other fixture is using three of those bulbs. In BOTH situations the bulbs and dimmer work PERFECTLY together – no flicker, no noise, no humming. I can dim the bulbs from zero to high NO problems at all. Could not ask for more.
