Kevo Plus Hub is an upgrade for your Kevo smart lock. It delivers remoteaccess features so you can connect to your Kevo from anywhere you have aworking internet connection. With a Kevo lock (sold separately), yourSmartphone allows you to touch the lock to open. With the lock only, Kevo’stouch-to-open functionality requires an eKey or FOB to be within Bluetoothrange of the lock; however, by connecting the Kevo Plus Hub you can lock,unlock, and monitor your Kevo Smart lock status from anywhere. With Kevo PlusHub and the Kevo app, be alerted when your door is locked or unlocked. KevoPlus Hub gives you the information you need to secure your home, all on onescreen. You must have a Kevo smart lock (Kwikset Kevo or Baldwin Evolved, soldseparately) for Kevo Plus Hub to work. Additionally, if you have an Alexaenabled device, you can use voice control, through Kevo Smart Home Skill, tolock the door: “Alexa, lock the front door”. Use Kevo Skill voice control tounlock: “Alexa, ask Kevo to unlock my front door.” Kevo Skill unlocking actionrequires pin for additional safety and security.

It will pair easily and quickly to your account. I find it works much more reliably than phone BT. Con: It will only pair with your account, not with the lock. If you want to share this internet connection access with other people, you’ll have to share your admin account with them. Sharing e-keys will not share access. Though you could create a dummy e-mail and account and share that with everyone you want to give access to… but then everyone sharing the account would have to change passwords if you wanted to remove one persons access. Product overall value is much too high for only 1 person to benefit from it.

If you’re some where you don’t have access to the internet service then you can’t do anything with the lock.you also can’t interface with ADT system or google home

I received a Kevo Smart Lock with the purchase of a new home. I heard about the Kevo Plus but was not certain if I would need a $100 device to allow me to control the lock remotely. Now that I have it, I would highly recommend it. I am able to lock and unlock my front door using Alexa (in my home and my car), I can check on the status of the lock, and I can integrate with my Ring doorbell. If you have a Kevo Smart Lock, I would highly recommend this device. For me, this has been like having a new lock with many more features.
