JBL Charge 3 Waterproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker

Great, portable, weatherproof Bluetooth speaker. I had 2 of the smaller Flip 3 and bought this for a friend. I expected more bass, with the increased size over the Flip 3, but it still sounds good. The base and overall sound out of this speaker is truly impressive and sounds better than we expected for a portable speaker. It pairs easily via Bluetooth and the battery life is very good. The Charge 3 is stereo while the Charge 4 has become mono, so we opted to stay with the Charge 3 and are very happy with it. The speaker worked good for about 3 months. It sounded like static mix with music after that. I reached out to seller, they said I had to contact JBL. I tried to contact them on website, what a nightmare, My kids saved to get this for my birthday, they are very upset about the whole issue.See more

This speaker is AMAZING! We had one that lasted almost 3 years(then it was stolen) and it was still going strong. Holds a great charge. I use it for music and audiobooks and i recharge it after a few days. Sits sturdy and can take some mean falls no problem!! I was so excited to get the jbl charge 4 but heard it was not as good as the 3 so i went with my gut and stuck with the 3! Beautiful speaker, love it so very much. I was disappointed by this product and returned it after two days. I purchased it primarily to listen to news, but this speaker doesn’t broadcast speech clearly. Even with music, the sound is muffled with too much bass and not enough treble. As far as I could determine, there is no way of adjusting the bass and treble levels. The JBL app only is useful for facilitating pairing.See more

Got this charge 3 after reading and watching plenty of videos and reviews online. Most people said the charge 3 actually sounded better than the 4. I figured this was a refurbished or used but it was brand new in the box sealed. Sound is great. The little Subwoofers on the side do what they can for the boom. Two stories. First, I have a JBL Flip 4 (very similar) and had accidentally dropped it from a third story balcony, it hit the concrete below. Went down and the speaker only had a scratch on the end and still works great two years later. Second story, I found a JBL Charge while tubing floating down the Mississippi River in northern Minnesota last weekend, and grab it fully submerged, the blue tooth light was still on and making a buzzing sound. No idea how long it was underwater (lots of people tubing the river that week), maybe they lost it that day or the day before. Anyway, let it drain and dry for a couple days, charged it up, and tested it out. Works great! No sound issues and holds a charge. (pictured)See more

We bought this after reading many reviews. We had a new to us jbl flip 3 for about a year that we used almost daily. We replaced it as the battery would no longer hold a charge for more than 10 minutes. So far we are happy with the charge 3. What we love about it is the long battery life (says it should last 20 hrs ) we only charged one time after we recieved it and it lasted all weekend plus my husband tried out the charger port to charge his phone. It is quite larger than the flip but we don’t mind. So far we are happy with the decision to go with the charge 3 vs the flip 4. The price difference was 10-20 more for the charge but the battery life and ability to charge other items was a game changer for us.See more

Worked good for a little while but quit taking charge at all. When I replace will be with different brand! Feel like for what it cost should have lasted better than it did (also it is the second one it bought for my wife, and she ain’t happy)
