I bought two of these. The first one for a relative with COPD. No more dust or other allergens to aggravate her condition. Just clean air. She loves it so much she convinced me to buy one for myself. I don’t have COPD. But I can tell it helps to remove dust and odors quickly. It is a real or true HEPA filtering device. Not one of much more expensive “truehepa” or other play on words cleaners that aren’t “hepa” at all, they just use hepa in a trademarked hepalike word to fool people. One of the reasons we chose this one is the Consumer Reports article stating how quiet it is. On high speed it is not exactly refrigerator quiet. But it’s quiet enough to be running during most activities and not mind the sound. It not rated for houses, just rooms. So I’ll have to buy more to really clean the air in my whole house. Filters last a whole year (charcoal 3 months). So the cost of ownership is low.LikesFor the housePerformanceSetupFor allergiesFeaturesSee more

Results wise……. it works pretty well. Noise level increases over time. Within a month, it is kind of rattling a bit. Its not unbearable but its noticeable.LikesAssemblyPerformanceEase of useSetupAppearanceSee more

I have bought four Honeywell Allergen remover units, and will probably stick with this brand forever. It’s super easy to change the filters. There is an indicator light letting you know when to check and change the filter. I have four cats, and have to have a good air purifier. Honeywell was the right choice for me.See more

Filters will cost more than the air purifier. Should have checked to see how many and how much filters costs, was horrified to know it has 4 filters to replace and these cost anywhere from $70 to $120. Thats replacing every 3 months making the filters cost more than the air purifier itself. BEWARE and dont be stupid like I was!See more

As simple, basic, but powerful room air cleaners go, this is one of the very best. It is extremely effective in cleaning the air of a room. I’ve measured its effectiveness using PM2.5 air quality meters, here in California during smoke season, and it works extremely well. I recommend it highly. So to a lot of other reviewers, including Consumer Reports. However, more and the standard is becoming room air cleaners that also monitor air quality, tell you what the air quality is, and can be set to automatically control motor / fan speed based on what they sense regaring air quality. Honeywell’s HPA5300 and HPA3300 , otherwise similar to the HPA300, do this, and might be a better choice. Coway’s models 1512 and 200 and 300 all have this feature, as do models from Winnex (including the 5300 (2). These may be better choices.

These are great! We couldn’t believe the difference they have made especially at night. I have a deviated septum and every night my nose would stop upon the right side, often waking me up it would be so bad (we also have 7 bulldogs) but, since we started using these, I’ve not had that problem ONCE. We are amazed at drop in dust levels (dog dander). We wish we would have had these a long time ago.See more
