This is a good product if you’re already invested in the Google Nest home ecosystem. Installation was relatively easy on a door precut to standard sizes, although it was a little hard to adjust the deadbolt to the shorter throw. Adding to my home network and Nest account took a little fiddling, but the end result is worth it. I love the coded entry, and locking the deadbolt by placing your hand on the pad and not needing to fumble with a key is very nice. Being able to say “hey Google, lock the door” is very convenient. I would always want to have a way to get in my house with a key, but I may put this lock on my main entry and exit doors.

The biggest benefit of electronic entry systems like the Nest x Yale Lock is that they are highly configurable, simple to install and high quality. With all the changes in the world today, I have the ability to reconfigure the lock at a moments notice. I also really like the one-touch locking, key-less entry and the ability to store up to 30 user codes.See more

The unit is barely a 10 days old. It’s a fabulous looking and very secure unit it seems. The NEST app and functionality so super intuitive (my first NEST product). It’s a very easy system to install but as of 24hrs ago, the keypad no longer works. Did a factory reset, still no keypad. Had to call their 24/7 support for assistance to which Ivan guided me promptly to troubleshooting it. It worked! But we left the house for about 3hrs only to come back and they keypad not working again. Thankfully the app worked or we would have been stuck outside our place. I would give it a 5 star but this is a serious problem to have only 10 days into owning the product.See more

Nice simple slick , easy to configure and works well so far. Technical Support is the biggest challenge. Few issue setting up 1st time with nest connect and app, but working fine after resolving it.See more

Easy to use – once you install (which can be tough). Whatever you think – my advice is to get a locksmith to drill and install. Looks easy and straight-forward. But, there are a lot of easy mistakes and can make it look bad. I think the toughest part was waiting for a locksmith to come and install the lock – you can do the NEST part easily.
