The android app went through a 3 step process for setup – 1 email, 2 code sent to email, 3 enter confirmation code… except I never got a code sent to email so I can’t use the app. It is only an outlet to use without controlling through wifi. I can’t say if it works because I can’t use the wifi. I don’t use alexa or google assistant. My support request was answered with a message stating that they received the request. Even if I hear from support after 24 hours it isn’t worth my time. There are too many other outdoor wifi outlets. I wouldn’t waste my time with this one.See more

As advertised – easy to set up – worked first try.

Worked for about an hour, and then it was unable to follow the schedule that I set up for our holiday lights. Not a complex schedule – one on and one off each day. I even tried the dusk to dawn setting, and it would randomly shut off after an hour or so. I have heard of others using this product that have had the same issues. I finally went back to my trusty old Intermatic digital timer, and it works perfectly! Definitely not recommended!

I bought a couple of these last year. I love them. I’ve used plugs with remotes before for turning on/off my outdoor Christmas lights, my Christmas village, the Christmas tree, and even my bedside lamp, and such. The problem with the remote approach is the remote never seemed to be where I was. These smart plugs can be controlled from an app on my phone, allowing me to control them from wherever I am. They’re extremely convenient. I hung a florescent lamp in my wife’s craft room, and plugged it into one of these smart plugs. Now, instead of having to make her way around the craft table and reach up to the light, she can turn it on/off with her phone. It’s especially handy that we can both control the same plugs from our phones, rather than only one of us having the power. I’ve had them for a year now and they’re still just fine.See more
